Pierdut în labirintul de insule
în lumea în care trăim sinele a devenit o insulă exotică
care se îndepărtează tot mai mult de insula-inimă
poate mă voi regăsi în labirintul celor 1000 de Insule din Ontario
așa am gândit în insula-poem pornind șalupa albă din portul Kingston
în jurul meu e un furnicar de oameni-insulă
rătăcind prin insula-infern insula-purgatoriu și insula-paradis
valurile înspumate se desfac în șiruri oblice de insule-cuib de pasăre
mereu am visat să respir frumusețea lumii într-un tunel de aripi-insulă
fiecare insulă-ochi de șoim pe care o trăiesc în viteza șalupei
îmi strecoară în minte și în suflet 1000 de gânduri-insulă
în curând voi ajunge cu insula-minotaur la capătul lumii
în care bătrâna insulă-iubire strălucește mai puternic decât 1000 de sori

Lost in the maze of islands
in the world we live in the self has become an exotic island
that is drifting further and further away from the heart-island
maybe I’ll find myself in the maze of Ontario’s 1,000 Islands
so I thought in the island-poem setting off in the white barge from Kingston Harbour
around me is an anthill of island-people
wandering through hell-island purgatory-island and paradise-island
the foamy waves unfurl in oblique strings of bird’s nest-islands
I’ve always dreamed of breathing the beauty of the world in a tunnel of island-wings
each island-hawk’s eye I live in the speed of the barge
sneaks into my mind and soul a 1000 island-thoughts
soon I will arrive with the island-minotaur at the end of the world
where the old island-love shines brighter than a 1000 suns

迷失千岛湖
在我们暂居的世界，自我已漂逐成一座陌异的岛屿
与主岛日渐疏离
但也许我会在安大略湖千岛湖与自己重逢
在那里一闪念间——诗歌已乘着白色小船从金斯顿港口出发
我周围是一座岛屿小人堆叠的蚁山
我从地狱之岛到炼狱之岛直至登临天堂之岛
白沫翻滚的浪潮舒卷着，仿佛在一只鸟巢倾斜的枝条边缘荡漾，群岛
梦中，我时常从群岛簇拥的隧道中呼吸世界的明媚
它溜进我的意识与灵魂，一千座岛屿的思想
我将和这群岛一同抵达——世界尽头的弥诺陶洛斯
古老的岛屿——爱的闪耀堪比一千轮骄阳
