The Romanian Cultural Institute invited me with a solo show of painting, „The Archetypal World”/„Il Mondo Archetipico” at the big gallery of the Romanian Institute of Culture and Humanities Research in Palazzo Correr, Venice between 3-10 April, 2023.
At the opening from the 4th of April, the exhibition was inaugurrated by the director of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Venice, the historian Cristian Luca and was presented by the well-known curator Adina Rențea, the writer Lia Faur, the art journalist Ana Arsinca from the art magazine „Propagarta” in Bucharest and by the Italian writer and translator Monica Guerra, the president of the Association Independent Poetry.

During one week, the exhibition was visited by over 500 art lovers from 35 countries and I have spent a wonderful time to answer their questions, to tell them more things about my new art concept/movement, the archetypal expressionsim and about the Romanian art and culture.
The director Cristian Luca published on the site of the Romanian Institute for Culture and Humanities Research a short but relevant review of the event, one of the most important for my artistic career:
„Inauguration of the suggestive contemporary art exhibition “The Archetypal World” by Romanian artist Constantin Severin, curated by Adina Renţea, on Tuesday, 4 April 2023, at the Gallery of the Romanian Institute of Culture and Humanistic Research in Venice. The bright colours of Constantin Severin’s works, the cheerful and stimulating colours that enhance lucidity, the ancestral female representations, the mythical-symbolic contents that emphasise prehistoric anthropomorphic figurines symbolising fertility, longevity, wisdom, transport us into the Romanian artist’s fantastic universe. Constantin Severin uses a timeless artistic language, made of concepts, perceptions, colours, in which he weaves symbolism and meanings to tell the present and represent the future. The artist’s sensitivity, expressed through strong chromatic content, accentuates the power and suggestiveness of his paintings. Liveliness and chromatic exuberance take the form of symbols, ancestral archetypes, that cross time and are interpreted and depicted in an exemplary manner by the Romanian artist, constituting his pictorial interpretation of existence.
The inauguration was attended by the artist Constantin Severin and the curator of the exhibition, Adina Renţea; the poetess, publicist and essayist Lia Faur, associate professor at the University of the West ‘Vasile Goldiş’ in Arad and lecturer in Romanian Language and Literature at the Romanian Language Institute of Bucharest at the University of Udine; the writer Monica Guerra, president of the Independent Poetry Association, curator of poetry presentations and workshops; the young and talented journalist Ana Arsinca, editor and author of the magazine Propagarta. Consecutive interpretation was provided by Arch. Paolo Tomasella. In addition, the head of the Romanian Institute of Culture and Humanistic Research in Venice spoke with an introductory greeting.”
